Average Score is a calculated score found on Kiosk Reports & Dashboards. It's used to provide a normalized score even if different survey scales are being used.
How is Average Score Calculated
- First, because there are several rating scales, the inputs are converted to a 100 point scale to normalize the rates. Below are the various scales and the converted scores.
- Average Score is calculated by using the rate scores below in a Weighted Average Calculation.
Example: Excellent 5 Rates Good 2 Rates Bad 1 Rates Terrible 3 Rates Total 11 Rates Total Excellent 5/11 = 45% x 100 = 45.5 Good 2/11 = 18% x 75 = 13.6 Bad 1/11 = 9% x 35 = 3.2 Terrible 3/11 = 27% x 10 = 2.7 Add up Totals = 45.5 + 13.6 + 3.2 + 2.7 = 65 Average Score = 65.0%
