Total Rates

The total number of responses. Not survey sessions, but how many questions they provided a rating for.

Positive/Negative Total Rates

This is the total of positive rates and negative rates that came from emoji responses.

Why do they not equal the same? 

Because you may have custom value answers or free text responses as part of your survey. Those custom responses count towards the Total Rates but they are not included in positive/negative totals. Total rates will either equal or be higher than positive/negative total rates.
